Hummer to bring out E85 models

Hummer’s first production E85 models will be the 2009 H2 pickup and H2 SUT, a Hummer spokesman said today. Hummer made the announcement during the grand opening of a Dallas area dealership’s E85 ethanol station.

A new survey issued in the Eurobarometer investigates the attitudes of the Europeans to the environment. The survey is interesting and encouraging reading. The Europeans are distinctly prepared to rise to their responsibility towards environment and climate, and for a sustainable future. Not less than two thirds say that they consider that environmental protection to be prior to competitiveness in the industry. There is of course differences between the nations, but not as much as one could expect.

Two major concerns exist about our electrical power system. The first one is the reliability and quality of the electrical power, summarized under the term ‘Power Quality’ (PQ). Poor PQ affects the profitability and the productivity of our economy. The second concern is the energy efficiency (EE) of the electrical system. Poor EE affects both the environment and the profitability of the economy.
